This is one of the firsts techniques I’ve learned while exploring Adobe Photoshop. Some of them I learned from my ever helpful friend, Google!
Tonights technique is called Star-Sky Effect.
As we go on with the steps, you’ll be amazed of what Adobe Photoshop and yourself can do. ^^, Now let’s start.
- Start by choosing a dark blue color as your foreground color and black as your background. Refer to the image below.
- Next, from your Menu Bar choose Filter -> Render -> Clouds. And you will have something like the image below:

- Now, create a new layer and fill it with black. Choose black as your foreground and white as background as you’ve seen below.

- Again, on your Menu Bar choose Filter -> Noise -> Add Noise. And follow the settings below.

- Now that’s too many stars, we can lessen it by selecting Image -> Adjustments -> Levels and follow the values below.

- Lastly, change the Blending Options of the Noise-added Layer to ‘Screen’ to remove the black part. Voila! You now have a Star-sky-like effect.

- Here, You can add some texts and lens flare to add more excitement on your graphics like this one.
